Wow, where do I begin....Katelynn is sure growing up way too fast. She celebrated her 11th birthday on Oct. 7th this year 2009.
Time sure does fly by. Katelynn is already in 5th grade. I don't mind her being a winter baby. I think it's to her advantage to being older in her grade at school! She is doing very well in school and is so dedicated to getting her homework done. She is almost too dedicated.
Katelynn is a "little mommy." She sees to it that everything is alright and in place. She is pretty good with her sisters. She is almost too good. When she walks them from the front of the school and out to the van, I can see her holding McKenzie's and Audrey's hands. She almost grips them too tight. McKenzie usually drags her feet a bit in protest. But Katelynn is quite determined to ensure that her sisters get to the van safely.
Katelynn is now playing the clarinet. Woo Hoo. I asked her if she wanted to at first and she said, "No, I would like to play the flute." Well, I was honestly a bit disappointed but then I thought about it and realized with my husband's insight that she should have a fair say in what she wants to play. After thinking about it and our willing to price out a flute, she decided to take up playing the clarinet. Can I just say, "Yes, oh yes, let's hear it again." My daughter is playing the clarinet just like I did at her age. I even played it through Jr. High, High School marching band and took private lessons at the UofA. Now, she is playing my old clarinet. YES.
Following are a few pictures of Katelynn's birthday this year. I don't have any baby photos on the computer yet because that was before the great digital camera.
